The purpose of new programming is to watch programs you have never seen before.
I find compelling viewing on 4 or 5 of the Voom channels.
I don't watch Monsters or several of the Voom channels, but neither do I watch all of the channels in my SD package, and I don't fault Dish for having those channels that I don't watch.
Not only doesn't DirecTV or my local cableco have the channels that I don't watch, they don't have many of the channels I do watch.
Locals are probably the most difficult programming to add. The provider gives you a signal that is not necessarily up to the same standard that networks provide, then they want you to pay through the nose for their inferior signal, and its your fault if you balk.
