Apparently announced awhile ago, God of war 1 and 2 will be out for the PS3 in a remastered version with 720P support. Just pre-ordered it on Amazon for $36.99.:)

Hey that sound cool. I played the ps2 version GOD 1 & 2 on my ps3 and it look very good with the ps3 upscale feature. I might get the remastered version.

I'll wait and see who offers the best "deal" for it (Gamestop, Amazon, Target, etc) and pick up the appropriate copy. Be fun to refresh myself with the GoW world before getting the 3rd one. I kinda wish they included the PSP exclusive "Chains of Olympus" since I never got to play it, but I guess for once Sony decided to stick by the term "PSP Exclusive," which is odd given how many of their titles are ported over.

They should at least have it as a download.

GOW collection is now out. I played about 1/3 of GOW I. The game looks quite good, and the game play seems a touch smoother.

I got my copy yesterday. I forgot how much fun these games were to play, and the game definitely does look better than before, but there is the unrelenting feeling that this could have been better with a little more time and polish. First off, it's a little weird to see the in-game engine produce significantly better graphics than the rendered cut scenes. Also, a lot of the textures were given a higher resolution, but the textures themselves were not updated. And lastly, the music seems rather underwhelming. I read some people saying that they took out the surround sound and converted it to stereo, and I'm willing to believe that. I guess when the port takes less than 4 months to make, you're going to make some sacrifices. Still, if you don't have the originals or never played them or just can't play them anymore (thanks to no more BC) it's an easy addition to make to one's collection.

I have the original ps2 games and 60g ps3. I played them both on my ps3 with upconvert game feature enabled. Look better than on the ps2. I was thinking about getting the collection. They should have included the game that was release for the psp aswell. Then again it don't matter because I own that game to, but I will love to play it again on a large screen with a ps3 controller.

If you have the original ones and they work fine then I wouldn't recommend getting this collection. They are direct ports of the originals, so there's nothing you're missing by just playing the originals. The only things they added in terms of content is trophy support and the E3 demo of God of War 3. I played the demo for a few minutes, and it's basically God of War in real HD. If I were you, I'd save the $40 and pick up the E3 demo via GOW 3 pre-order or from the District 9 Blu Ray, or just wait until it's released on PSN.

Works for me. I'll wait for the demo on psn. Thanks for the reply.
