That video was on the Samsung set that uses glasses to watch 2 different programs at the same time on the same TV (i.e. you and your spouse could each watch something different on the TV). Not glasses free 3D.

Appears so - Sharp is working on and has demostrated an 8K model: http://www.techradar.com/us/news/television/hdtv/first-look-sharp-85-inch-8k-glasses-free-3d-1214341Someday after they come out here in the U.S., I'd like to have one if they have the full resolution like the active sets do.
I get that much about what seeing the glasses-free TV at any angle. What I meant does it downscale the resolution like passive does. (Like how passive splits the resolution to each eye so that each gets 540p instead of 1080p and active you get all of the 1080p.)Appears so - Sharp is working on and has demostrated an 8K model: http://www.techradar.com/us/news/television/hdtv/first-look-sharp-85-inch-8k-glasses-free-3d-1214341
