I just got off the phone with the retailer that will be installing my dish on Friday. I am getting the 811 receiver and I told him that I wanted to also get the Voom channels. He said that I would need a second dish and it will cost me $100 additional for the second dish. Does this sound right? Does the Dish 1000 alleviate the fact that I will need 2 dishes and how much will that cost if I wanted it? Is it worth having the 2 dishes to get Voom? Is Voom that good?

Does anyone have Voom? Is it worth the $100 for the dish? What does the Dish 1000 actually do?

Search on D1000 and/or Dish1000 for more on that. Also try: [thread=86427]Signal strength on 129?[/thread]

The BIG question is (as always - nobody enters their "location" in their profile :( ): Where are you?

There are 25 DMAs where the D1000 becomes standard as of Sept. 27th. No more StupiDish, and Voom is also there. thread above post #30 has some of them listed.

Where is "switchinfo.info"

Any New Info on SBC Dish?
