Does NHK expect people to watch their signal via satellite as we do, or is it geared to delivery by Internet or paid subscription services? I'd hate for you to give them a data point that makes them think more about how people get the signal.

Don't think Dan did anything wrong as applicants need to live outside of Japan and can watch by any method (satellite, NHK WORLD web page, iPhone app, iPad app, Android app and Kindle app) . http://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/monitor/tvmonitor_extra.html :)
 
They even had a FTA satellite section I think I did the currency exchange rate 1500 yen equals out to $13.75 hopefully I do good at this. Hopefully it can help pay for satellite equipment I need new lnbs and such.

4. Remuneration

Program Monitors (Extra Group) will be paid the remuneration of 1,500 Japanese Yen per each contribution of Monitoring Form submitted to NHK.

Looks like the 'watching' part is any means, FTA or 'cable', internet webpage or app.
Get paid on a per review submitted .

Application period has expired BTW.
 
Most I can turn in is 6 reviews a month of $13.75 exchange rate. Or I can get souvenirs, they can send me maybe I can get a signed photo of Katherine Kyobashi for Chris Cromwell let him get jealous little bit. he he ha ha. They are going to send me more info on what I have to do I have to watch 6 hours of programming each month from May to October this year.
 
Its peer review of 13.75 for each one I guess that I turn in. hopefully everything goes good I might need your guys help ok.

Make sure that signed photo includes a hot pose with all of Catherine's hair and beautiful twist of a smile included!! <3 <3 <3 <3 :)

I'll make sure i'll send one to you hopefully your wife won't get it before you do I'll ship plans for a new doghouse with a big couch for you to sleep on he he ha ha.

Nah, doghouse and couch aren't nessesary. If you do ship or mail the picture to me without knowing my mailing address, my wife knows to just leave my mail on the table without going through it. :)

A. Monitoring Form for "NEWS PROGRAMS"
B. Monitoring Form for "GENERAL PROGRAMS"
C. Sample Reference of Monitoring Forms
D. Broadcast Schedule of Regular Programs to Be Monitored for May, 2016


Please refer to the following instructions.

A, B, C: Monitoring Forms & Sample Reference
(1) We would like you to use these excel forms to write your reports and
send them as an attachment (1 form per e-mail) to the following e-mail
address:
Please do not change files to any other formats such as MS Word or PDF.

(2) Please monitor up-to 6 different programs per calendar month including 1
NEWS PROGRAM and 5 GENERAL PROGRAMS choosing from the monthly broadcast
schedule (attachment D).
"NEWSLINE" with a duration of 28 min. on weekdays should be monitored. Each
GENERAL PROGRAM may be chosen only once during the six-month monitoring
period.

(3) As shown in the sample reference (attachment C), please provide your
comments in about 100 words (7 lines) for the "overall" section. All other
aspect should be provided your rating (1-5) only.

(4) When monitoring "GLOBAL AGENDA", the third section should be evaluated
with a different view of "Content is fair and objective" as indicated so in
the "GENERAL PROGRAMS" monitoring form.

(5) When monitors are away on a holiday or for a business etc., and NHK
WORLD TV is not available, it is understandable if monitoring reports are
not submitted. Monthly six report submission does not always have to be
completed.

(6) After receiving your reports, we will send you receipt acknowledgements
within a few business days. Please keep them as records of your monitoring
to maintain further selection of available programs accurately. When
Japanese national holidays fall, it may take even longer to respond. If you
do not receive acknowledgements after a while, please contact us.


D: Monthly Broadcast Schedule
(1) Broadcast schedule for the next month will be sent to you by the end of
every month. Please note that the broadcast schedule is subject to last
minute changes. For the broadcast schedule, please refer to each program's
website:

(2) Programs only whose broadcast dates and times specified in this schedule
are eligible for monitoring. Encore broadcasts of regular programs are NOT
eligible for monitoring, and dates of such encore broadcasts are shaded
gray. Submission of reports on encore broadcasts will not be acceptable.
Please also make sure to avoid monitoring the following encore series:
"Journeys in Japan selection" Thu. from UTC 14:30 etc.

(3) Some programs are available on the Video On Demand service at:

Submitting of the reports for these programs will be accepted within ten
(10) days from the originally broadcasted date.

(4) In addition to the programs shown in the monthly broadcast schedule,
there will be several "RECOMMENDED PROGRAMS" may be requested to monitor.
They would be counted as one of up-to six (6) submissions per month.

Before you start monitoring activities in May, please read through the
"Outline of the Work of NHK WORLD TV Program Monitors (Extra Group)" once
again to remind the monitors' assignments and requirements.
