I remember now...pipeline.com. Before they merged with Mindspring and then Earthlink.

Poor Bob, having his serious support issue turned into a remembrance of old telephone ISPs.

I had Earthlink, then a local called "Quantum Connections", then Ameritech tempted me with DSL and I've not looked back (much).

I remember using my Hayes 300 baud modem to connect to IUSB so I could access IU's network. Everything there was considered uppercase, so their solution to entering mixed case was to make everyone type the carat "^" before a capital letter. One guy was too fast on his keyboard and we joked about his alias of "6jec" instead of "Jec".
