Gettin 61.5?

Anyone In Carson City nevada having any luck getting the 61.5 bird? Ive been workin on it for 2 days and either my 811 keeps crashin and wont see the proper switch (sw44 to sw21 to the 811, All legacy equipment) or it just wont see the sat

Welcome to SatelliteGuys... try running the line straight from your 61.5 dish to the receiver.. do a switch check with nothing hooked up...(this will clear your receivers memory) then hook up your 61.5 coax and look for the sat... when you find it hook it to the switch and do a check...

Which port off of the SW44 switch is the SW21 tied into? You can not use port 1 which is where the power inserter is located. Make sure you use any of the remaining ports, 2, 3 or 4.

port 1 is going to a 511 in the bedroom sw21 and the 811 are coming off port 3

It will be much easier to do as dfergie has suggested. Clear your switch matrix, barrel connect your 61.5 dish straight into any receiver and align from there.

I'll be dammed hadooked up and rough pointed waiting on wife to help and when I switched over to signal screen it was sitting at 57

Cool. Almost there Jason. After you peak 61.5 for max signal, hook everything back up the SW44 and the SW21, run a check switch on your receivers and you should be good to go.

got it all back together and now it wont see the sw44.....lol 511 in the bedroom works fine now. first i hooked up to the sw44 and did a checkswitch and it found it ok then put the sw21 back in the mix and now it only sees the 61.5 will shutdown and retry the checkswitch again

I made a new cable to go from the sw44 to the sw21 and all is good now. I get all the channels but I noticed that on both the 511 and the 811 i get nothing on the signal pagebut i get all the channels . Is this normal with this configuration?
