Why does the Android version (on the left) have an option for Streaming Options and the iOS version (on the right) does not?

Under streaming option (Android), it gives you the option to stream on cellular. Why doesn't the iOS version have this option?

I understand why the Android version has an option for Storage Location. This particular Android phone has an SD card slot.

Here is the Streaming on Cellular option in the Android version of the app.

Because you can only stream on WiFi on iOS. So no need for an option when there is none.

In other words its either an operating system limitation, or a hardware/software limitation.

So they still haven't fixed this yet?

Some have said its an Apple issue, some have said its a Directv issue, while others say its a provider issue.

Does anyone know who really is at fault here and why they wouldn't allow streaming over cellular?

Well since we know that there are apps that stream fine via WiFi, we can point the finger towards DirecTV. Although come to think about it, you are not streaming from a DirecTV server but rather from your home. Does anyone knows if the Slingbox can stream using cell? That should really answer the question. Although again it could be a patent getting in the way.

Sling Stream using cell? (your asking downloading to cell)
I have a Sling box hooked up here.....Works great in network or out of network(wifi or carrier)
