This may be sacrilegious, but Gecko was feeling left out as we were decorating the house. He's not new to the nativity scene as he'd had that in his terrarium last year. He kept knocking Joseph over for some reason. This year I insisted on placing a Christmas tree in there, but my wife said it was a bad idea since the base is wrapped in a very absorbent burlap. This can be of issue should Gecko decide to be a scrooge and...ahem...micturate on it. Unthwarted, I wrapped the base in a waterproof plastic swatch of gift wrap filler. Voila! Note he also got the "snow" white sand substrate treatment to complete the ensemble. Somewhere there must be a website on "how to decorate your lizard's terrarium"....who needs it.
