Spring break is almost here.
It is interesting that Gasbuddy says that my Costco is $3.65 but Costco lists their price at $3.599. Gasbuddy seems to truncate the decimals.
Gasbuddy depends on individual drivers to report prices, and the entry fields all include a fixed third decimal fraction of .009. that third decimal digit is assumed. Gasbuddy Prices only change as fast as people report them, and most people only report the price for regular.
$3.37 this morning in Annandale, VA. A few days go, my wife stopped at a gas station less than a block away from my favorite station and asked me to fill 'er up. Of course, she has the persnickety Nissan Murano which doesn't really like 87 octane gasoline. So, we go with mid grade in her Murano. They wanted $3.45 for regular, and $4.69 for 89!!! I about had a stroke.

The price in Redwood City appears to be $4.639 where they used to be the same as your store.
I'd rather pay more for gasolines that help reduce carbon buildup in the engine. I know that the gas comes from the same refinery but it's the additives that make the difference. So, I don't use gasbuddy.
