Now that we are switching back to foreign supplies the price will continue to rise again. In the last couple of weeks the price of diesel jumped 59 cents per gallon in my neck of the woods.
$2.07 Murphy's, Walmart has big crater (replacing tanks?)$2.60 for high at automated pumps at convenience store that only oil field company trucks hit...
Costco is my lowest price option today. $2.39 is up three cents from two weeks ago. Other areas of Oregon are up as much as $0.25 since the third week of January.
I note that diesel has gone down somewhat and wonder if those experiencing hikes there might not have experienced a fuel tax increase.
Still $2.399 at Costco here. Prices have been pretty stable.
What isn't stable is the credit card surcharge. A Union 76 mini-mart I pass regularly (and always) is charging a 17 cent/gallon premium for using a credit card. A few stations no longer accept cash.
Almost all Oregon gas stations are mini-serve. Self-service is available only for diesel, motorcycles and gas in a few outlying areas.
