Gas Price Info With National Gas Temperature Map

It's crazy what prices have been this winter. Propane was $4.32 a gallon here a week ago, glad I finally convinced my mom to move up to my lake house from our old family ranch. It was all propane and quite frankly in need of a total gut and rebuild. There is no way she could have afforded these prices, I would have helped buy it or been down there breaking my back and chopping wood for a week to use instead.

Well that figures. The day I go and get a new to me sweet used Avalanche to replace my reliable and trusty old F150 the price jumps to $3.30. 31gallon tank compared to the 23 gallon tank. Pump SHOCK

Consider that a bargain... I paid $3.78/gal yesterday

prices held steady around $3.30 here until this week where the avg jump was 5 cents.
The wholesale price on NYMEX was $2.70/ gal on 2/4. Now it's hanging around $3.
Todays close was $2.94...
Typically, add 60 to 90 cents to that for taxes, delivery charges and profit to get the pump price.
We're getting a bargain right now.
Perusing the news items on CNBC's website, it appears the main culprit is the situation in Ukraine. Particularly the Russian incursion into Crimea.

Well $3.27 for regular 87 octane today, but since I got the Avalanche last week, driven almost 900miles and filled up twice with E85 at the new station down the street that has 2 E85 pumps. $2.69 for E85 and I'm getting within 1mpg on the mileage in the Avalanche with ethanol compared to the regular gas. I think it actually runs better on the higher octane ethanol. I know its rated for more horsepower on the ethanol. Will see how it goes, as E85 isn't really available outside the Tulsa and OKC metros and you have to really look to find it, but I'm happy with it so far.

Gas here is up by 20 to 30 cents per gallon since mid March. The NYMEX wholesale price closed Friday at $3.01 per gallon.
By comparison, one year ago, 4/17 to be precise, NYMEX gas closed at $2.60 per gallon.
