Looks like the 360 and the PS3 did well, Wii while selling the most hardware did not do so well on the software side.

Btw, god of war 3 in 1080p = ownage, I could see the game in the top 3 slots.
I am not sure how Bioshock made it in the top spot, I thought the game it self looked great, but it wasn't a game that was huge compared to Halo 3/Call of Duty 4.

Sales numbers are a better indicator on how games are.

Really? I agree, you can't put too much stock in critics' opinions... but I don't really trust the general public to buy the "best" games, either - just the most popular ones.

Bioshock I agree with, I was not a huge fan, Fun at first but dwindled fast. I am however happy to see Mass Effect get up there. That game kept me going for 3 play throughs.

Wii Sports is a fun collection of games, but nothing jaw dropping or very involved. Also, it has been coming with the system since the Wii release in 2006, so it wouldnt be elgible for teh 2007 game of the year..

Wow it just seems strage to me to sell so many units and only have "1" on the game of the year list!? I was going to change my mind and buy a Wii so when my Grand ma visits but only 1 game in the top 10. I think Wii sports must be Really FUN!
