Greetings,

I'm a newbie here :p

My Galaxy 25 at 97.0 W system was setup by an installer but since two days ago it lost some of the frequencies, 12090 20000-3/4 H!

Do I need to call the installer back? Or, is this something easy I can take care of.

I don't know what my disk is, but my receiver is Samsung DSB-4700F.

Thanks for any help.

Resteki, I downloaded the instruction manual, you should be able to fix it your self if you feel comfortable doing so, right now I have to run out for a bit but I will be back later on in the after noon, you can take a look at page 22, I think that will help you.

(Also if a moderator can break this off to a new thread that would be nice :))

I have uploaded the Instruction manual to instruction section: Samsung DSB-4700F Manual

qwert1515, thank you for your reply. I do have the instruction manual. I did both "Auto Scan" and "Manual Scan" and some frequencies listed at http://www.lyngsat.com/galaxy25.html are scanned fine and I can view the channels but some like 12090 and 12152 show Signal Strength of about 30-40% and Signal Quality of 0% and never get scanned. This all happened about 2 days ago.

Sorry, I thought about starting a new thread but I know most places don't like duplicate topics. since it's easier, I would appreciate it if someone could break this out in to a new thread.

Thank you,

we're not like other places. Don't bother us if there is a new topic on somewhat same issue

What are your signal qualities for the other transponders like?

freq 11740 22.000 auto V SR 80% SQ 46%
freg 11836 20.765 3/4 V SR 80% SQ 57%
freg 11867 22.000 2/3 V SR 80% SQ 52%
freg 11872 22.000 2/3 H SR 80% SQ 52%
freg 11898 22.000 3/4 V SR 80% SQ 46%
..
...
freg 12090 20.000 3/4 H SR 30-46% SQ 0%
freg 12144 22.000 3/4 V SR 80% SQ 46%
freg 12152 20.000 3/4 H SR 30-46% SQ 0%

Thanks,

Those readings seem kind of low, what size dish are you using?

I think the dish might have moved causing the weak transponders to drop out completely.

The Samsung does read low but it does sound like the dish might have been moved a smidge. We're talking a lean into the dish to move it maybe 1/32"...that can be the difference between 0 and signal

I think the dish is 32". I will try to adjust it and see.

Thank you guys,
