If so, can I pickup 97W using Dish 300?

97° West is a FTA satellite, the Dish 300 is too small, you will need a 31" dish or larger and a linear LNB.

Dish 300 is too small, and also has the wrong LNBF... The Dish LNBF is a DBS circular, you need a Ku-Band FSS linear LNBF.
