FyreTV... going the way of the dodo?

Fyre TV is going to be around for a long time. I met with Fyre TV's CEO at CES and he told me some of the things they are working on and also told me the big issue is the time it takes to encode all the video they have. He said he was going to send me over a photo of the shelves of video they have that still needs to be encoded. Haven't got it though.

Anyways yes Fyre TV was taken to the market too early, but they needed too after giving the service away for over a year. And they have seemed to have taken the bull by the horns with the stability.

Sure there are internet websites but for what your getting from FyreTV is a bargain at the price.

Look at what one real adult channel costs per month on Dish Network, and you will see what a value FyreTV is.

While its had its roadbumps I have no problem recommending FyreTV to those looking for great looking high quality adult content.

ok, so how long have you worked for FYRE-TV?

I signed up for the beta program about a year ago after reading about it on this site. Free service for about a year. No reason to complain and it keeps getting better.

I've seen the shelves picture they posted in their forums several months ago. I don't know if it is still there in the forums but it was impressive.

I subscribed for the $10 deal after the beta was over. It seems a lot more stable now and they are adding lots of content so I'm fairly happy and again for $10, its not a bad deal.

I agree w/ much of the information

I have been with FyreTV as a beta tester since about August 2008 and have seen the multitude of improvements from the earlier months. Obviously this service is not for everyone as you know but it could be for someone like me who enjoys watching some decent porn & doesn't want to hookup a computer system to their primary flatscreen LCD and wants to watch in a living room or bedroom. Since the STB offers all the standard signal hookups it is quite versatile provided you either have Wi-fi or an available ethernet connection in the same area(particulary good for HD streaming if you use the HDMI or component ports). The quality is up there considering the bandwidth needed is not that high. Unfortunately, I can't receive HD streams through my computer.. granted I could use a new one anyway but this still works well enough .

Overall -- I have been more impressed with the variety and accuracy of the content/metadata tags in the past few weeks also which has been a known issue in the past. If the company starts offering the other features, particularly the live channel, I think they have a fair chance at making it profitable in the next year or maybe longer.

Last but not least the team(especially Dick Kain and junior on the forum) is willing to listen to all feedback despite what some have said and work to make it a point to reply in a short time.. sometimes it may not be the exact response you are hoping for but they do respond. Many times they immediately initiate corrective actions based on your feedback or contact you for greater detail; I find this to be a rare occurence in most consumer service providers(think about your cable, phone, or internet ones!)
