this may just be me jumping the gun... but im unplugging it and boxing it back up. this is slightly ridiculous.
i have participated in several beta programs... everything from games (member of sony gap), to networking hardware, etc. in each program... the t's are crossed and i's are dotted long before any sort of public interaction. granted... the polish that the general public will see isnt there and doesnt usually come til later as hardware and specs may change, but there is always enough data, input, support, and functionality that the testers can start to help troubleshoot the issues and bugs that arise.
within the first week with the fyre box... i have experienced horrible rates of total system crashes and glitches (as stated, most likely due to defective hardware), cannot get ahold of the company to save my life (their forums have been ripped down), i have been left to post on a completely separate third parties site, have had zero emails returned or even acknowledged, and am left with an 'unknown company' holding my credit card information.
i understand that some of you have had a good experience thus far... but from my point of view, this has been a complete and total failure. i am two steps away from hanging it up... packing this thing back up, shipping it back, and canceling my credit card to make certain no damage is done. if they arent going to put forth the time to make sure that they are gaining every ounce of input and help from the community as possible... why should i waste my time?
and yes... for those questioning... i have attempted everything with the aspects of my network. i thought at first that it might have been an issue with bi-directional communication, and there was some obscure port being blocked by my router (or firewall at my office)... not the case. i am 99% certain that the issues i am having are from hardware failure.
