Agreed, but... We've paid a lot for our 16X9 HD sets and would like to see them fully utilized! Hopefully things will move along for these new HD channels and they will convert to real widescreen, not stretch-o-vision.

They will in time, but good point though, about the use of the widescreen TVs.

For the 100th time, just because a channel "goes" HD" does not mean every show they broadcast is instantly HD or that the channel is HD 24/7. Those shows that are 4:3 can be "stretched", pillar boxed, etc. This is not an overnight transition by the providers, the networks or the DBS companies.

Listen to the Charper1, the dudes word is God. Well so he thinks so.....

I don't know why this channel is even called HD. There aren't any shows in HD. What a waste of transponder space.

proof? link? How do you KNOW the 2008 season will not be hd?

because the last 3 seasons were not when they easily could have been. shawn ryan has also stated he likes the gritty look and feel of the show as it is on the season five dvd.

trust me i love the show like everyone else, but i'm not holding my breath. i only hope the next season isn't the last one.

Looking ahead in the program guide on my HR20 it looks like starting on Tuesday October 30th, FX will actually start showing HD. Starting at 5:30pm Elektra will be in HD. Then at 8pm Fever Pitch will be in HD and then at 10 the season premiere of Nip/Tuck will be in HD.

All of these programs have the HD logo in the guide. No other FXHD shows has the HD logo until then.
