Sat Receiver Features explained
Can someone give incite, how the following features available in some sat receivers, especially used ones off Ebay, actually work:
- Auto TP Update On/Off
- Stand-by Mode EPG On/Off
a) Do they work, when the dish is pointed at select sats only like Networks (pre-determined by firmware), or at any sat?
b) At what point Auto TP Update works - when a user scans a sat? Or also while in Standby mode?
c) When Stand-by EPG is Off, but Auto TP Update is On, a motorized receiver stops turning btw sats in Standby - WHY?
- "Network Search On/Off"
Its selectable for each sat. At what point it works - when Auto Scanning a Network sat only, or also in Standby? How it's different from "Auto TP Update" (which is selectable for all sats at once, not for each)? How they work together?
Anyone experienced a motor at times loosing East/West memorized limits, while these functions are activated in Standby or upon receiver's hard start? What can cause that?
