DirecTV 10/12 & SES 3 at 103.0°W - LyngSat

There's typically MORE than one sat at a position. Your dish see's them as a single sat, but only picks up the appropriate frequencies the receiver and lnb are capable of.

Get a Sharpie marker with a fine tip (or a reasonable facsimile thereof) and mark the mounting pole and dish bracket at the spot where you got 105 W. That's your 105 degree reference point. Then you can move the dish a little East, in increments until you find 97W. Note that there are satellites at 95, 97, 99, 101, 103, etc., so you will have to adjust your elevation and azimuth slowly. You are doing a good job, keep at it and you will get 97W.

Welcome bud another member from Indiana. You could be on 91w ku. 87w would be a good satellite to aim for since you live here.
