it did not look warped, everything looks good on it, but there may be something i cannot see.

I am going to measure the roof today to see if its in the way.

It sits higher than the original mount for the dish 1000 dish that was on the side of the roof, but much lower than the dish 1000 dish on the geosat mount which is on the roof.

Unfortunately my house faces north so the slant of the roof really makes me nervous as far as line of sight.

my roof is 20 degrees slope 19 feet to peak which is about 5 or 6 feet above the foot of my mount. The angle of the motor is 30, and the dish bracket is 25, so I think my los should be fine, I hope. So maybe it's the lnb?

When your In-line meter goes to 10, you are probably catching Sat Nimiq1 @ 91 west, which you would need a different type of LNB for the receiver to display a Q reading.
With an Active TP selected, start twisting the setup to the West, very slowly.
Galaxy 26 had a power failure a few months back, it may not be the best Sat to try for.
Maybe give Galaxy 3 @ 95 west a try. Refer to The List for active transponders.
