At the top of this page is a tab labeled dishpointer.com. I find this much easier to use than a compass. Fill in your info and 97w. Move the doohickey on the map to exactly where your dish is then pick out a real world landmark to help you aim.

If possible, bring the Receiver and Small TV to the Dish.

Double check that the Pole is Plumb.

In the Receivers Sat / Antenna setup Menu.....
LNB Type: Single or Standard
LNB Freq: 10750
Transponder: Pick one that's listed here: SatelliteGuys.US - 97.0°W Galaxy 19 Ku

Set the Dish Elevation to 40.5
Using a Compass, align to 196.6
Skew LNB 9.8 (clockwise when standing behind the Dish)

If the Quality indicator does not light up, try Blind Scanning, and list anything that comes in.
Signale %100
Quality %0
no channels

do you have the coax going straight from receiver to lnb? if so slowly move the dish east,if no luck try moving to the west.Remember it takes a sec. for the satellite to lock signal,so move a hair and wait. Hope the helps. Are u sure u skewed the lnb the right way? Maybe you can take a pic of your setup and a screen shot of the lnb menu.

What transponder are you trying to tune in? See on "the list" that some of them say "strong transponder" in green. Start with one of those. Try 12177V 23000.

You are looking for Quality to jump while you are gently moving the dish around. You must tell the box that you are looking for a specific transponder in order to get a quality reading.

Did you check with a level that the pole the dish is on is plumb, in other words straight up and down?

Do you have the dish, box and tv all sitting next to each other while you are trying to aim it?
