FTA Channels List Update

Hi All

Let me know what you think about the spreadsheet style of the channels list on this page? Channels data is updated from Lyngsat.

You can filter the spreadsheet by the header rwo (language, band, etc).

The page work fine with IE5 and above. I haven't tried it with Firefox, Safari, or Camino.

Was the spreadsheet created in Excel? If so, can the .xls file be made available?

Sounds like someone did some work, so I'd be pleased to view it. :up
However, my Firefox 304 won't digest it either, for all the same reasons as above.

And I didn't even see a way to get the file so I could try reading it with alternate methods.
If it were available as a down loadable data file, I'd give it a poke.

I am a Graphic Designer, I dont specialize in web pages but Ive had lots of training in there design. One of the basic rules in web page design is to make sure its compatible with Mozilla, Safari, and IE. Also dont use Microsoft Front Page or Word to make your web pages, get Dreamweaver. A solution would be to, Make your speadsheets into a HTML tables. Place the table in a frame and make buttons to navigate throught the filftered tables.

OK, it is changed now to a static HTML page. No sorting capability. Check it now.

Looks fine in the Opera browser. But too bad your other idea didn't work, that would have been useful.

Also, ETV (Ethiopia), that would be Amharic (and English), no?

what we FF users should do is check for a plugin that allows for .XLS file viewing without downloading the MS crud and using IE so we can load and sort it like Sadoun originally intended.

that would still leave opera and safari, etc. users out of luck unless they have their own plugin modules available.

Even better... a plain csv... then any spreadsheet app could open the thing...
