Is it theoretically (and practically) possible to “merge” signals from FTA and D!shNet antennas into one output (one drop for both)?

dont know if a dish receiver would work with it.. they expect their own brand of switches (god only knows why they don't conform to disceq switches to lower their prices for equipment)..

Someone asks every couple of months, to use only one coax for both Dish and FTA.
The short answer is that it's just not practical.

Then, they sometimes want to negotiate -
"Well, what if I did A and B?"
I haven't heard a good idea yet, and I've tried to think up some. -

The Dish receivers expect full-time access to their birds.
Any non-Dish hardware or wiring would be ripped out if you ever had them make a service call - they can't troubleshoot nonstandard hookups!
etc...

no...reason is they use the same batch of frequencies.....unless you really felt like dropping a bunch of money for a band stacker/destacker setup

much easier to run 2 cables

Thanks!

Thank you, guys!

I take it as "NO". End of story.
Not going to speculate: if I did ...

Will run separate drops.
