Fringe: Season 5

IMHO, this season so far is just dreadful. Only watching because it's the last, but each episode is a chore to watch. It's like a whole different (bad) show, but with the same characters. Ratings keep going down. I would have been happy if they had just pulled the plug last season.

I can't recall the last time Fringe drew more than 3.1 million viewers. Sure, this show has had problems the past couple years, but these numbers are pathetic. It's no wonder shows like Jericho, Invasion and FlashForward are cancelled after their first season...and why Sci-Fi or Syfi or whatever it's called show so little Sci-Fi these days.

9 p.m.
CBS: "CSI: NY" (9.9 million, 6.5/11)
NBC: "Grimm" (6.0 million, 3.8/6)
ABC: "20/20: All Access Nashville" (5.5 million, 3.9/6)
FOX: "Fringe" (2.6 million, 1.8/3)
The CW: "Nikita" (793,000, 0.6/1)

I agree. It does not even feel like one is watching the same show we started with. This has gone so deep and far that is quite confusing to follow the story. Sometimes I do not even know what I am watching.

Don't know yet. My recording stopped about 10 minutes early...that722K bug, again.

I wouldn't know I didn't see the show last night. Both hoppers recorded channel 101 for Fringe instead of Fox. So now I have to watch on Hula instead in SD.

It's HD on the Fox site, if you would want to watch that way. I watched the last 10 minutes my 722k lost.

As "Tweek" from South Park would say, "Stop with the Matrix metaphors, Man..eeeeehhhh"

Yes, very matrix like. I have a feeling I'm not going to like the way this show ends.

On the episode where Etta was killed, did they mention someone called the "Dove?" At first I thought that it might be Broyles(which maybe it still is),but lately, since of all the observers shown so far this season,Saturday isn't one of them,I'm starting to wonder if Saturday is "the Dove(or whatever that mysterious character is called)?"

Just read on the entertainment /tv section of the Huffington Post (online), that the final two hour finale will be January 18th,2013. So they will have to wrap up the story between now and then ,give or take holiday hiatuses, that will interfere with the showing of the actual program.

I'm sure Fox has a mid-season replacement ready to go in late-Janurary/early-February. If that show turns out to be a dud they can always rerun episodes from the final season. Yep, the show is going to have to wrap things up pretty quickly. Hopefully the former Fringe team can continue to use their bag of oddities acquired from the first four seasons. We shall see.
