Franklin & Bash on TNT

It really isa ripoff of the Defenders. Yet somehow worse.

I loved The Defenders and was miffed/peeved (words my grandmother would use) when CBS pulled it after their first season...even though the show was drawing 9-10 million viewers on a Friday night. Regardless, I just started watching F&B the final two shows last season. I like it but, as you mentioned, it really is a ripoff of The Defenders. The little guy reminds me of Sully in the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie Commando.

Cindy: "What did you do with Sully?"
Matrix: "I let him go."

:fish:

Yes, they are similar, but I think this has a totally different feel from The Defenders; and I enjoyed the whole first season of it; whereas I lost interest in The Defenders, although some of that may have been the gut that it would not last.

But TNT does great stuff - some of the best programming on television; just a shame the shows are always short seasons.

The reason we really watch TV - and especially HDTV.

Reminds me of why everyone watched Battle of the Network T&A...er, I mean Stars back in the '70s. We didn't care that she couldn't jump up and pull herself over the bar...just enjoyed watching her try over and over and over again. ;)

Of course that Dill Weed, Robert Conrad, thought that schtuff was real. What a nutjob! :D

I just finished watching...great episode. Yep, it sure has that "Morelli & Kaczmarek" feel to it. In fact, I should take a closer look at who writes their scripts; wouldn't be surprised to learn the writers of The Defenders moved over on to write Franklin & Bash for TNT after CBS game them the boot.

I watched the Season 2 featurette on iTunes, looks like we'll be seeing more of Kat. Works for me.

Malcolm McDowell points out in the feature that there is plenty of eye candy on the show, and he is right. But its just a fun show. NBC could sure learn from TNT.

NBC could learn from alot of stations.NBC needs to go away they are the most worthless station in america :)

And while she is a fun tv-infatuation, that show is hilarious. I've never seen it before. Watched the first two episodes, and laughed my butt off. (And she was equally cute in her mid-20s as today!). :D

And yes, thank you!

She was only in like the first 2 seasons and then the neighbors just went away all together.

17 July 2012: Summer Girls (10:00 PM ET)

"Peter and Jared asked Hanna to help them with a case involving the court martial of two Navy sailors accused of assault; the sailor's commanding officer is doubtful of their defense team's skills."

Don't forget to rate this episode over at IMDb.com: "Franklin & Bash" Summer Girls (TV episode 2012) - IMDb

The only thing I don't like about this show is that it starts so late (10:00 PM). :(
