Fox/Sunday Ticket broadcast annoying sound effects

One of our local news is now doing the same thing. When background graphics change, Whoosh!

"Today a truck plowed through a Worst Buy and took out the Mon$ter cable display... Whoosh! In other news Apple has put out a new 500Gb Ipod and expects it to be the big seller for X-mas."

They even use crazy sound effects on the Fox News Channel. IMO these sound effects add nothing to their broadcasts so I agree with the other posters in this thread. We tune in to see and hear the content of the program whether it be football or news or whatever. We don't tune in to hear sound effects.

Luckily you guys on Football games do not have the "Scooter" explaining to us the retard comments about football. On baseball the "Scooter" budget comes up and "Scooter" appears telling us what a fastaball is The mentally retarded Fox VPs have nothing better to do

I've decided to turn down the sound and listen to the team radio coverage. It's not in 5.1 but I don't have to suffer through those annoying sound effects.

Cartoon Football Network (a.k.a. FOX)

I guess we will all find out soon enough (since it's Sunday again) if enough people complained about the "cartoon" sounds.
Personally, I hope they ditched them, or at least most of them.
I also agree there are too many graphics superimposed on the field!

I never really noticed all the sound efx until I was listening to "NFL Sunday" on FoxSports Radio while driving one afternoon. I could hardly listen to it because every few seconds there was some sort of noise.

I'm not a big hater when it comes to graphics...I personally think the 1st and 10 line is one of the best innovations in the game....if I'm watching a college game and it doesn't have that, I find myself missing it. I'm also pretty impressed with graphics they use on the NASCAR/Car Races. How you can integrate that much info and have it be accurate is a pretty impressive feat.

At the beginning of the games, when the graphical score board and clocks came into the picture, they played the sound effects. After that though, they were done! Thank you Fox!
