No. In my area, MSG, YES and SNY were initially replaced with ROOT-Pit (Penguins, blacked out because we are in Sabres DMA and the Pirates) and Sportsnet Ohio (Cleveland Indians). Then we lost the Cleveland RSN. The only break received was the 2-year price lock (available to most subs anyway) and the occasional one time discount or short term free access to the Sports Pack.
AT150 was the old name for AT250, when that package was first introduced. The other package you meant to say was AT120+
In more expensive regions, there was a separate surcharge. However, the small additional fee that Dish tacked onto the bill was nowhere near enough to cover the entire cost of carrying the RSN's. The bulk of that cost was averaged out across the entire country, and included as part of the price of the base packages listed above. After dropping the RSN's, the cost to Dish became zero, but the subscribers never saw that price break reflected in their bills. There was (and still is) a separate Regional Action Pack for Flex Pack subscribers. However, even that package also includes several other sports channels besides just the RSN's. Regional Action Pack is also subject to the additional RSN surcharge in regions that still have RSN's on Dish. So, neither the Regional Action Pack by itself nor the surcharge by itself covers the entire cost of subscribing to the RSN's. You have to pay both in order to receive them.

The Buffalo Bisons also lost the Cleveland Indians AAA affiliation. (The Indians switched to the Columbus Clippers instead.) So, you probably would have lost that channel whether Dish still carried it or not.
You are absolutely correct. Dish never wanted to pay the price the Yankees wanted to carry the channel. I always list all of the RSN's we lost, or in the case of YES never had, in Western NY.
They also didn’t raise the rates as high as the competitors that had to raise their rates for renewals. Look at ATT as an example... so again, what are you paying for and not receiving because it’s not the RSNs.
They also did raise the rates much higher than normal on packages that never included RSN's, such as Welcome Pack. (Yes, I know that some Welcome Pack subscribers are grandfathered at a slightly lower rate, that still includes the regularly-scheduled rate increases by the way. That doesn't change how much the regular price of Welcome Pack skyrocketed in such a relatively short time frame.) So, what are new Welcome Pack subscribers paying for (whether they are actually receiving it or not) and how much does the competition charge for a similar package?
Never RSNs. They went a very long time without any price changes. This appears to just be catching up with the times, especially considering the price started going up about the same time more channels were added and in HD. There really isn’t a comparison for packages that didn’t include the channels changing price, with all things considered.
If only Charlie had not bragged about better cash flow after he dropped the RSNs on the 10k
Wasn't the disappearance of RSNs (outside of New York) coinciding with the rise in local retransmission rates?
It coincided with a huge rise in every channel, including RSNs that were undeserving. Dish has actually given the opportunity for people to have lower bills, but people will complain to complain. Can never make everyone happy, but best not to entertain a false notion.

Because you don’t pay on a per channel basis. You also didn’t see a huge price increase that took place shortly thereafter with every other provider. You saw a small price increase with the option to actually lower your price. That was about the same time they broke the RSN fee out separately and you can clearly see you weren’t charged for them there, as well. False equivalency.
About that "more channels were added" thing...
I tried asking the last time I noticed that a new HD channel had been added to my sister's Welcome Pack subscription, Tennis Channel HD. At the time, the responses here from other Welcome Pack subscribers had been mixed about whether or not they were also receiving Tennis Channel. It is not just a case of grandfathered (lower price) customers not getting it while customers paying full price get it, either. Responses from both grandfathered and non-grandfathered customers were mixed on this issue as well. My sister is paying full price for everything, if that matters.
The only price break she got was this year's discount on the receiver fee for her Wally, since it is purchased. It is also the only receiver on her account. If she had signed up sooner, not only could she have gotten the lower grandfathered Welcome Pack rate, but she also could have completely avoided the $7 (now $5) first receiver fee. That all adds up to make her Welcome Pack subscription seem especially high-priced and out-of-whack to me. The only possible advantage she has is that she now gets Tennis Channel (a channel she never watches). Again though, it is not like every non-grandfathered Welcome Pack subscriber gets that channel, nor is every non-grandfathered subscriber missing it. So, that one really leaves me scratching my head.
