All of the oddball (non-collapsible) INFO channels are gone, and all of the former FSN channels are back to displaying their respective "Fox Sports removed this channel" messages, so I wonder what the heck the temporary return of the guide information was all about.

They were definitely testing something. Most of the changes in the uplink reports seemed to revolve around removing or adding DRM, so that is likely one thing they were testing. It is also possible that they were testing the Gamefinder app. After all, it is kind of hard to test Gamefinder if most of the channels carrying the games have been removed, and no longer have guide information.
Yes, and Fox Sports has also removed channel 150 (FS1) and 855 (Fox Deportes). The removal of Fox Deportes has also had the (unintended?) consequence of breaking the F360 Multi-Channel View on channel 853, at least for me. Every time I attempt to select it, I get Attention 140: "Unable to access this feature at this time. Data not available."
Oh crap! I just noticed that Big Ten Network was also removed! And, to round out the list, Fox Soccer Channel+ is also part of the dispute.

I think the current Fox dispute screwed the pooch on the return of the FSN channels. They just put that up there to trick people.
It’s like when they replaced lifetime with the We channel.
They kept all the name as lifetime in the guide.
Unless you actually watched lifetime, you wouldn’t know they dropped the channel.
That weeds out all the people actually watch the channel and complain, vs the ones who are looking at a reason to complain to get a discount off their bill and never watch it.
I have done it and I’m sure many others here have also.
You’ll be surprised what people will do when presented an opportunity to get a discount.
I remember when dish lost the Viacom channels 17 years ago, we had a special Charlie chat, and a video playing on all the channels.
When a channel goes down, it’s best not to promote the fact your missing a channel. Most people won’t notice.
This is just a conspiracy theory that Dish already has an agreement in principle for the FSN channels, but that agreement is that the channels will not return until the Fox dispute is resolved. Unfortunately, they acquired them too close to the start of the NHL and NBA seasons for them to change the name now, and risk confusing viewers. My best guess is that the name will change around the start of next year's MLB season. This will give them plenty of time to promote the name change, and make fans aware of it before the season starts.
Thank goodness that most of the hockey I watch is on NHL Network and NBCSN. I still won't have the Tampa Bay Lightning on RSN's.
I hope the Sinclair execs are choking on their latte's as I sit here watching the Fox Sports Detroit feed of the Detroit/Toronto NHL game on the NHL network channel on Dish...
Do you really expect Charlie to pay all these double digit increases the content providers are demanding out of his own pocket??? It doesn't work that way. The increases come out of your pocket...

So when Dish offers a "true-up" extension to keep the channels on while negotiations continue and the other party refuses, Dish is the bad guy? Dish doesn't drop channels arbitrarily. They carry them as long as they're legally allowed to. If Dish gave in to every increase that came along without fighting for a better deal it would be your bank account taking the hit, not Charlie's.
