I don't know either. Although, I feel I can safely surmise that a FOAD is some sort of cross between a frog and a toad. Sounds like a fascinating creature, but I'm not sure what that has to do with Fox News HD.
Just to clear a few things up:
What most people don't know is Charlie Ergen leans pretty heavily left on that political scale.
...I just can't understand why topics that have to do with Fox News or CNN or other channels always have to become a political football...
That is a great point, you took the words right out off my mouth, so I went out and found a DIFFERENT way to make my point:
Rebecca Gomez in HD!!!!!
Nuff said

And perhaps Dish shouldn't care about this one. They are being stomped by CNBC:

I bet the World Fishing Network gets more viewers.
Took several years for Fox News to overtake CNN, along with not making a profit thru those years. Murdock may be in it for the long term again with Fox Business.
They have actually planned on it taking about three years. It has only been on the air about nine months and the folks that hate Fox News are already pointing out the small numbers, as if it is a total failure.
I don't hate Fox News, I hate all the 24 hour news channels. Nothing but fear mongers, all of them. The old style Headline News was the closest thing to a worthwhile 24 hour news channel as they stuck to the headlines, so you only needed to tune in for 15 minutes to get news.
I was watching the Fox News Channel on Sunday. The anchor mentioned that would be the last news cast from that studio because, after the political conventions, Fox News Channel would be broadcasting in HD with a new set being built. Along those lines, and considering the lawsuite between E and Fox, I have a question. If Dish has the SD version of a channel such as Fox News, FX, Spike.. does E still need to negotiate for the right to carry the HD version of the same channels. I thought I heard the providers of the SD channel versions do not charge the carriers additional fees for HD content.
Sometimes FOAD is shorthand for f*** off and die.
I like Fox News because they give me the NEWS, and not just their OPINION of the News. There are shows on FN that offer their opinion of the News ie: Hannity/Colmes Bill O'Reilly...etc. But if you want NATIONAL or WORLD News, I always trust Fox News.
I watch these forums a lot, and I just can't understand why topics that have to do with Fox News or CNN or other channels always have to become a political football. It doesn't really matter whether you're conservative, liberal or moderate. If the decisions on what programming is provided to the subscriber is in part determined by political beliefs or views, then that demonstrates absolutely poor business judgment.
