Dish use to have the "Mav hd channel". Showed Maverick games in the Dallas area.

My first complaint about Fox News HD....

During the Live Desk show with Martha, the screen is just too crowded when they do the whole top box, middle box, lower box thing. Maybe during The Live Desk they should take over the HD wing area, the way they do during Fox and Friends. That way, they can have the three boxes in the wing area, and show more of Martha, video footage, and the newsroom on the left. Less crowding.

A small complaint, I'll shut up now. I otherwise love the HD clarity of my favorite news channel. Good stuff.

ESPN hds are all about graphics too. I remember when I was excited that a sporting event was going to be on ESPN hd or ESPN2 hd. Those days have long gone!!!

I'm thrilled that FNC is now in HD!
I'd like to think that we have some small part in this. I know that I sent a few emails and got some friends to do the same. I also called from work. We have the option to change to FIOS at work (we have their phone and internet) and so asked if FNC was in HD on DirecTV. They took a really long time and then came back and said no. I told them that we were considering going to FIOS TV and this would probably be the turning point. This was yesterday. I guess this change was a surprise to the CS agents. Or, business as usual!

Yes, your story and 1000 other stories just like it made up the decision to give us FNC HD. Please don't think they would make a decision based on just your company, and with same day notice. No. Several of us plus thousands of others have been asking/complaining for months. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. We got our oil. All of us complainers contributed to this. What should we work on next? I say the HBO/MAX channels they promised would be delivered by the end of 2007. Maybe we can get them by the end of 2008? Come on DirecTV!!!!

I would like to see more full screen hd. O' Reilly last night is not even 4:3 hd. The only true hd I saw was Fox and Friends.

The Fox report prior to O'Reilly was also in HD.

Guys, they are slowly adding more and more HD programming. Remember that they have several stages and more than one studio. It takes a while (remember the Weather Channel?).

Yes, it will take time. We should all be thankful we are just getting the channel. You can bet the election night coverage will be in HD. I'm so thankful. I see the adbar in the onscreen grid is advertising FOX NEWS now in HD, so the clueless will probably see that.

Watching this morning, I've noticed a very slight audio/video sync problem using my HR20-100 connected via component to RPTV with audio going to AV receiver.
Anyone else notice this?

The F&F Saturday was full screen, but the business discussions have the wing.

Also keep in mind, the SD programming on the HD channel looks a lot better than the same program on the SD channel.

I am using a 4 port HDMI switch in each of my entertainment centers. Occasionally, with DirecTV, I have to jump to one of the other ports and back again and the sync problem is fixed. I only have to do this once or twice a month, but one of them was this AM. I suppose it may not have been my typical equipment situation, but it appeared to fix the sync problem when I switched over and back today. If you don't have a switch, just jump to another input on your TV and back again to the HDMI port your DirecTV comes in on. If that doesn't fix it, it is a DirecTV/Fox News HD problem, but I have found that sometimes the audio gets out of sync and it can easily be fixed by doing what I described above.
