You posted that directv stream was also part of it if the stations are pulled. The response was to if Streaming was part of the dispute ...
What does that have to do with Dish and Disney ???
Its still owned by Rupert..the cable channels went to disneyFox now is Not the same Fox from 20 years ago.
Bet they are quite happy they sold it based on what is going on with them and Traditional Providers now,The irony of this whole thing is that FOX used to own directv
Who caresBet they are quite happy they sold it based on what is going on with them and Traditional Providers now,
That is not what I was referring to. There are Fox apps for streaming, and in the case of Fox Sports, the PQ for 4K is superior to DTV. All you need is a login for (or a close friend/relative) to access them.Unless Streaming is part of the dispute contract.
Update:
An impasse between Fox and DirecTV would not just impact the 13 million customers who continue to pay for satellite television: It would also affect hundreds of thousands of customers who pay for DirecTV Stream, the streaming TV alternative operated by the company.
In addition to Fox’s cable channels, a carriage dispute would also require DirecTV and DirecTV Stream to pull Fox-owned stations in several major markets, including:
I'm not sure what other Fox affiliates might also be affected.
- KCPQ (Channel 13, Seattle/Tacoma)
- KDFW (Channel 4, Dallas)
- KMSP (Channel 9, Minneapolis)
- KRIV (Channel 26, Houston)
- KSAZ (Channel 10, Phoenix)
- KTBC (Channel 7, Austin)
- KTTV (Channel 11, Los Angeles)
- KTVU (Channel 2, San Francisco/Oakland)
- WAGA (Channel 5, Atlanta)
- WFLD (Channel 32, Chicago)
- WJBK (Channel 2, Detroit)
- WITI (Channel 6, Milwaukee)
- WNYW (Channel 5, New York City)
- WOFL (Channel 35, Orlando)
- WTTG (Channel 5, Washington, D.C.)
- WTVT (Channel 13, Tampa/St. Petersburg)
- WTXF (Channel 29, Philadelphia)
This Will interrupt the NFL games if it does happen.
Oh..just steal it...thanks but no thanksThat is not what I was referring to. There are Fox apps for streaming, and in the case of Fox Sports, the PQ for 4K is superior to DTV. All you need is a login for (or a close friend/relative) to access them.
And I agree that stealing is bad and wrong. But both the ability to do so, and the availability of some the same programming on other services is cutting into the retransmission booty for station owners everywhere.Oh..just steal it...thanks but no thanks
correctMy local Fox affiliate (Cleveland) is owned by Nexstar, not Fox, so they are safe, correct?
Suit yourself, but stealing? That's a real stretch!Oh..just steal it...thanks but no thanks
Juan and I agree on nothing usually, this time he is right.Suit yourself, but stealing? That's a real stretch!
Your not paying for services provided..in the old days this would be cable piracy..or satellite piracySuit yourself, but stealing? That's a real stretch!
Well Fox sure paid a lot for FIFA world cup soccer? I think they need ratings as soccer is way behind the top 4 sports? So Is losing money part of their strategy?DIRECTV needs to sign a new contract that runs out in June. Now is the worst time to renew. FOX was pretty smart to plan this out.
