Fortec remote doesnt work

i have a problem with my remote control don't work im replace the batteries all ready and noting happed can some body help me my reciver is lifetime classic

Try power cycling for 5 seconds with the Master Power Switch on the rear of the receiver or unplug the unit from the AC outlet.

Try pressing the STB button on the remote. Maybe the cat pressed one of the other ones. Happens to me all the time. 4 cats !

Have you done any firmware upgrades lately?

had the same problem, here's the fix

have 2 receivers and 2 remotes same model (fortec mecury II)
I noticed one remote didn't work at all, changed batteries...nothing happened.
Resetting the receiver did nothing.
Other remote worked on the other receiver fine. Had to be the remote.

remove batteries from remote
then push the power button several times on the remote

you wil notice the power light on the remote light up then go out for good.

Worked fine right after I did this.

seems to reset the remote
