broke off review.

ABC is on Galaxy 10 (123W) but the rest are not. They are on C-Band but you need a 6 foto dish for those :)

WELCOME to the forum!

Sounds like a nice setup!

I would remove thje motor and try to find and store a few satellites first!

Thats the way most of us here started!

Me too. 6% seems to be everywhere (Background noise?) Make certain that you have a yellow (Orange?) bar and not red. Yellow (Orange?) for Quality-Red for no quality. When I first got my Fortec, I messed around for several hours thinking that I had a quality orange signal just to discover that I had a red "no quality" signal (with a poor color adjustment on my TV). Wasn't even close to the satellite that I wanted. Maybe I'll get smarter as I get older. :)

So how many channels could you pick up?
How many transponders?

Turning the LNBF may up the quality of your signal?

hi psb i was on g 10 only had one cbs news when i called they said i need a bigger dish a c-band to pick up more

I believe there is only one CBS affiliate on G-10R. There are not plenty of network affiliates on Ku band. The exception is Equity's G-10R channels, and a few scattered network affiliates on other satellites.

There is more on C-band, of course, but you're talking at least a 6 foot dish (bigger would be better) and a more involved install.

See www.lyngsat.com/america.html for information on what you can get on the satellites. When you look at a listing of a particular satellite, the four digit frequency TP numbers are for C-band and the five digit frequency numbers are for Ku. (Example: www.lyngsat.com/g10r.html Beige channels are unencrypted and therefore FTA. 3795 V is a C-band encrypted Showtime transponder, 11720 V is a Ku-band unencrypted FTA Equity transponder)...

EDIT: Lyngsat no longer shows a CBS affiliate on G-10R :(

Good luck on snagging the BUD! :)

If everything doesn't work on it, there are plenty of them around that people seem to be more than willing to part with in exchange for your help taking them down. The hardest part is taking them apart to transport, lots of bolts and they sometimes are frozen or rusted tight...
