I just got a email from where seems like came from Verizon but it direct to a hacker website. When you click on the link there it direct you to this website.

A good rule of thumb is to open a new browser windown and check independantly from the main website.

I get more EBay email from hackers than I do from EBay.

It is known as PHISHING and you can also check these emails at a "myth" or "hoax" website such as SNOPES or via AnitPhishingOrg

Most times these are quicker and more up to date than the regular website.
