For all You Yankee Fans out there

As the regular sports readers here can attest, I am anything but defensive of my teams. Nobody hammers Ohio State football, Yankee baseball, or the joke that my favorite team, the New York Rangers, is becoming, more than me.

I already said facts are facts, and the Yankees do not generate one extra dollar of revenue by promoting disharmony between players, or Roger Clemens allegations regarding steroids or relathionships with 15 year old girls, or anything similar.

Some teams need to be noticed to get people to notice them. Not the Yankees.

look Sandra, I don't why you feel the cumpulsive need to argue right now, hence why I think you are being defensive.

all I did was defend the right of the media to hype up yankee stadium on the basis of its historical value, and tried to relate to it humorously from a non-yankee perpective. that's it. i'm sorry you don't like my candid but honest observations.

I am getting fed up with the Sabres' fire sale- IIRC, Sandy's Rangers stole Drury.

Yankee Stadium, as currently known, was built in 1975. The "remodeling" was actually a 95% destruction and rebuilding upon the same lot. Shea is 15 years older.

If the remodeling was that extensive, what should have happened is tear down old yankee stadium, send the Yankees on a 2-3 season long roadtrip, and then they could open with a brand new stadium on the same site and dimensions as ruth, gehrig, mantle, etc. you keep the lore (playing on the exact same latitude and longitude as the yankee greats), yet have the modern new stadium ammenities for fans and players alike.

I'm just glad to know the Yankees last game in their old stadium won't be a playoff game.

You guys/gals call that hammering? OK, I do have the advantage of having 50 years of futility. That's given me plenty of time to hone my craft.
Suggestion: You need some slogans, like:

THE DETROIT LIONS - REBUILDING SINCE 1957!

or:

END THE MILLEN ERROR (ERA) NOW!
