Fixed dish and receiver

I have a wally receiver and a winegard dish. I want to get a stationary dish and was wondering if my wally receiver will work or do I have to get a hopper?

What are you expecting it to do? The Hopper 3 is fancier/capable of more things but both will tune the same channels from the same satellites.

The wally rotates the dish and finds the satellites. With a fixed dish I wasn't sure if it would work.

The appropriate fixed dish "sees" two or three satellites at once depending on the dish model and LNB installed.

When you go to the fixed dish, you will need to do a check switch so that the Wally can see the change.
