Firmware for fortec classic na

Has anyone upgraded the firmware on the classic na? What improvments does it have?

I downaloaded the newest (february) when I got my box...didnt see any difference

When I go into the scan sat in the main menu area, a bunch of the sats names have been changed to wierd symbols. I was hoping an upgrade may fix it.

Try doing a full reset. That might fix it, not sure.

That sort of corruption makes me wonder about full memory issues. If the reset doesn't work, make sure to clean out unused transponders, birds, etc at regular intervals. There's a recent thread on that same subject.

I did a full reset on the unit and it straightened it out for a time, but it's back again
I'll get rid of the old trans and channels that I don't use. I hope that fixes it.
I was wondering if the memory and the cpu on the classic can be changed? Anybody ever tried it?

This is a common problem with this receiver, delete ALL but one transponder from EVERY satellite, you will NOT loose any stored channels but should clear up the problem.
