I just upgraded? to Firefox 3.0.1 and the download queue drives me crazy. It always pops up and maintains a list of everything I download. The last version did not do this and I can't figure out how to turn it off. I have a young daughter who uses my computer so I don't want the queue to be visible if I ever forget to clear it.

Thanks,

Darrell

It was in all the previous as well but may have auto-defaulted back to on with v3; anyway..... here ya go!

From the Firefox browser tool bar select

TOOLS>OPTIONS

then select the MAIN TAB
2nd grouping down = DOWNLOADS
Uncheck the 1st = "Show the downloads....."

then select the PRIVACY TAB
1st grouping down = HISTORY
Uncheck the 3rd = "Remember what......"

Thanks, now do you know how to get rid of the Recently Bookmarked option in Bookmarks? I delete it and it keeps reappearing when I start the browser.

Thanks.

Stranger Things are Happening

This is too weird. I made the changes and it fixed the issue, but as soon as I restart the browser, everything is back to default. I setup the weather and it goes back to default, I remove the bookmarks, they come back. I also get 5 pages opening up everytime I start.:mad:
