I have a Coolsat 6000 premium receiver, a Stab HH90 rotor, a FortecStar FC-90 dish and an InVacon Quad Polar 40mm horn LNB. I live at Austin, MN 55912. My latitude is 43.7, Longitude 93.0W and dish elevation at 38.3. I am trying to lock in on IA 6 93.0W. In mrweather's reply to jsattn on 12-13-06, he mentioned to have the motor at TS (0 degrees). Does that mean that it should be at 0 degrees when aimed at IA 6? After entering the above information, my dish motor always stops a few degrees west of 0. Sure would appreciate some help. Thanks.

The dish elevation is off. Here in MN (I'm in Minneapolis) the dish elevation is 23 degrees or so

38 is for a fixed dish

The motor should be at 0 when you aim at 93W. If its off, the best thing to do is move the motor to 0 and reset it at the motor. There should be a reset button

Thanks for the info. Hope to try it tomorrow morning. Stab - USALS said to use 38.3 dish elevation for the HH90 rotor and 23.3 for the HH100 rotor, so hope you are right!

The dish attaches to the HH90 "from below" and to the HH100 and HH120 "from above"... if that makes sense. :)

Maybe that's why the difference but I wouldn't think so. I always thought offset dishes were universally 23 degrees?
