Fear the Walking Dead (Walking Dead spin-off)

I didn't have to much of a problem with her. I know a lot of people that always compared her to Rick Grimes. My wife did that. That comparison was inevitable though.
I never did that. Really didn't compare any one in the show to the mothership. I just hated most of the characters from the first 3 seasons based on themselves.

Now we both agree, he husband was not so bad, even the son Chris, but they killed them off, even the Spanish guy was OK Stran is not to bad, but all the rest nay

I hated him to.

The only one I liked was the ex-wife, but she was killed off at the end of the 1st season.

Oh right she was good too, but she looked too much like the daughter of the Spanish guy, I kept getting confused it seems whoever runs it sucks picking good people for good parts, whoever that person is, should leave

This season has been a snooze fest. Killing off Madison and bringing in Morgan sure didn't do the show any favors. Getting to be them standing around that truck and dialoguing, a lot. I'm guessing the budget got slashed and whatever was left went to Morgan.

Second half of the season reminded me a lot of some of the half seasons of the mother show where they would seperate everyone and show events from their points of view, like after the prison when they all headed to cannibal town. Didn't care for it then or now.

But, it was still better than anything from the first 3 seasons. At least now it has characters that I don't want turned into zombie chow.

I came back this year after having dropped it midway through season 2 with the promise that it had gotten much better. Most of the first half of this season was pretty solid with the introduction of Morgan and a few new likeable characters played by really good actors.

But FTWD really screwed the pooch during the second half of the season, which was filled with more eye-rolling moments than I've ever seen on a TV show. Perhaps this happened in season 3, which I didn't watch, but apparently this world was visited by the walkie-talkie fairy who sprinkled fully charged walkie-talkies, good ones with miles of range, wherever a character needed one, except when the plot necessitated them not having one.

What could've been a really cool story element, a hurricane, was handled poorly. The bulk of the storm was spent during one episode with two characters holed up in a house, one of whom was mute part of the time. And then they introduced the least likely, least dangerous, and most unbelievable villain in The Walking Dead franchise history, a crazy middle-aged school teacher who had no fighters and no real skills, and whose ability to survive on her own in this world for two years stretches believably to the breaking point.

The coup de gras was the final scene when the ethanol tanker sprung a few leaks, and no one thought of placing any kind of container to catch the fluid, including the 5-gallon one Strand had brought out just for that purpose.

Even worse, the holes were all above the bottom of the tank. Being a rounded tank, the only way it drains completely is for a hole to be on the very bottom. :facepalm

I gave up when Carl died, now Rick is killed off in the comics not sure even if that was wise or not They had it and now screwing it up it like that show LOST
That's the other show, this is Fear ....
I too gave up on TWD when I heard Rick was leaving and haven't watched any of this season. We rewatched some of the early seasons and the quality of those vs recent seasons is pretty drastic.

I've yet to watch any of the Fear episodes since it came back on this time, or any of the mother show during it's last stint (after the time jump). Me thinks I'm probably done with both shows.

Try this show, it's dubbed well in English, Danish is like very Old English, so their lips almost seem normal when the speak I even switched it to Danish and could catch a lot it may be my Yiddish helping which is also in the family tree language

But so far the storyline is getting good as soon as the boy grows up, which is quick.

I'm still watching FTWD this season. It's on a short leash, but so far, not terrible. Plane crash, encounter with guys in riot gear uniforms, nuclear reactor meltdown and radioactive walkers, and Daniel! You're all caught up. ;)

That's about where we are at, catching up... I'm on S3 of TWD, She's caught up but on S4 re-watching after getting hooked on audible zombie books. (I'm up to the Arisen series Odyssey(Michael Stephen Fuchs), She has caught up on the Mountainman series Keith C. Blackmore)...
