FCC Says "OK, turn off Analog Outs"

Sounds to me like it only applies to VOD and then only for a limited time.

"The FCC said the technology cannot be used on a particular movie once it is out on DVD or Blu-Ray, or after 90 days from the time it is first used on that movie, whichever comes first."

You could also buy an HDFury2 and skirt the system.

Still sucks though and makes me wonder what they will allow next.

Really does irritate me. First they go after the music and now movies. How did these groups get so much power to have Congress in the palm of their hands?

Money, campaign contributions and lobbying.
...I have a great 57" TV without HDMI. It has a great HD picture. We plan on upgrading, but would prefer it be on our timeline not the FCC's.
I'm a little confused?? They are talking about disabling analog output, does that mean everything but HDCP links????? Even with HDMI, its NOT necessarily HDMI????? Typical media article, totally inept at relaying the actual technical implications.
