Favre to Retire (Again)!

I have never seen a QB throw bigger interceptions than Favre. Last years NFC championship game is a prime example.

Did he throw any in Super Bowl XXXI? No.

When you throw so many touchdowns, you're going to throw a lot of interceptions.

All quarterbacks throw INT's- nobody is perfect.

All the great ones throw picks.

Even in his 50 touchdown season, Brady threw some interceptions.

Trent Dilfer has also won a Superbowl.

I have never seen a QB throw bigger interceptions than Favre. Last years NFC championship game is a prime example. Than the media slobbers all over him, saying "that is just Brett being Brett, he's a gunslinger."

Did his consecutive games streak have anything to do with his vicodin addiction?

Come on dude. You're seriously not comparing Favre to Trent Dilfer are you?

I'll miss his antics.

The interception record is one that will probably never be broken. Favre had that unique quality that he was able to play as many games as he did, win enough games to allow him to play that long, and have these stretches of suckness where he felt he could force the ball into triple coverage.

It took the prior record holder (George Blanda) 26 years to accumulate his INTs. Favre only needed 18!!

You are making my point. Those guys were all better than Favre, IMO.

I couldn't agree more! :up
:up for example if marino would've played all the games favre played, favre would've never come even close to taking most of those records. even after playing all those games he still didn't blow marino away in some of those records. he owns them but not by a long shot . the interception one he can keep.

Rey , as a Dolphins fan you know this better than anyone....................Favre couldn't carry Marino's jock! :up

i agree. and at least marino knew when to go unlike favre. going to another team is one mistake i'm glad marino didn't make. when it seemed he was going to the vikings i wasn't thrilled about it. i'm glad he controlled himself and put the gun away.

I don't know Rey...if I am not mistaken..he was forced out by Jimmy Johnson....and Dave Wandstash....they wanted NO part of him.

Yeah but most of his came in the first so many years of his career. He just punted probably for the last 6 or 7 years of his career.

yes that was part of it. just like favre was forced out of greenbay but the difference is marino knew it was a bad idea to go to another team like favre did. it's best to accept when your skills have diminished but yes you're right. if he's not forced out he would've played at least another season in miami. which by the way i would've liked because i hate the way his last season ended in that playoff against the jaguars. horrible game!
