extra remote questions

I was looking at picking up an extra remote (UHF) as i have split the 2nd output betweek rooms.

Do i need to do anything special to get it too work. i was looking on ebay. and i saw several on there 6.0 UHF i just wanted to check if there was anything i needed to do to get a 2nd remote to work before i ordered one

You should be able to buy a 2nd UHF remote for tuner 2 but it needs to be on the same channel as the 1st remote for tuner 2.

I dont think, just as long its a UHF and on the same channel.

I'm thinking you guys are talking about having the remotes on the same remote address for tuner 2.

Any 6.0 UHF will work. The address is programmable. As long as both your TV2 remotes are set to the same address, and that address matches the one the receiver is watching for (which you can also set), then you'll get the result you want.
