Anyway, I have HWS for DishAnywhere access that is most often sufficient, but also have a Slingbox connected to it. This allow two different connections (for two different people) at the same time. The DishAnywhere access occurs in the background not at all readily apparent to any user of that HWS nor interfering with the Slingbox connection with the Slingbox access occurring is in the foreground just as if you were in the room.
I am overall pleased with Dish Anywhere, but it can be cumbersome, but it does not take over the box at home, but Slingbox does allow all access like at home such as accessing external HDD's, but the compromise is that it takes over the Hopper or Joey at home. Let's also remember that the built-in Sling technology boxes does perform transfers to mobile devices, a powerful tool in itself; Slingbox does not.
