Anyone know if this is something that may/will be in the future?
Why manufacture the unit and not turn it on?

No, the Sling Adapter will NOT allow you to watch content from you EHD. A stand alone Slingbox basically replicates the user experience from home allowing you to see all the exact same screens you would see if you were home using the remote. The Sling Adapter simplifies the user interface and allows access to your DVR or live content and makes it simple to navigate.

A Slingbox branded box like the 350 or 500 as opposed to DISH's Sling Adapter. The distinction is VERY important if your goal is to watch programming off of an EHD.

According to DIRT, there was a bug in the 722's that let you access the ehd from DRA. That bug was fixed with the Hopper. Bring back the bug.
