External hard drive

I have a 4TB and an 10TB LaCie drive and my HR22 and HR21 systems are not
Recognized by the DVR. I have them pluged into the eSATA port and I get nothing. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong.

Not all external enclosures work with the DVRs.

Wow, why so big ?

You know IF you ever have trouble with the recvr and it has to be replaced, you lose ALL your recordings when it gets plugged back into the next recvr, right ?

A new recvr will reformat the EHD so it will recognize it .

Chances are the unit is not recognized by the D* box anyways, from the sounds of it.
