You can only play that recording on a 622, 722, or Hopper on the account that it was recorded on.

Unfortunately the only steps to playback on the 722k is by the steps you are already doing. You can check out this link just to verify: http://www.mydish.com/support/playback-612-622-722-722k . I apologize for that. If you are interested in the Hopper we can check upgrade options for you. You can access the EHD in the same menu where you view your regular recordings.
