Just went from Directv to Time Warner cable. HD picture not as good as Directv, and considering Dish now because of that reason and a couple of others. Directv is too expensive considering I can save $35 or $22 per month going elsewhere.
Anyway, the Time Warner Cable guy (a contractor in a plain truck) installed my cable the other day. Please see the pictures. The cable is small compared to the Directv cable, and kind of ugly going up the side of the house. Is this an outdoor cable? Is this the right way he did it? I know I should have paid more attention.
I still have the Directv dish I need to get removed, and hopefully the Dish guy can use the cables and hopefully the same holes that Directv made? I hope the Time Warner cable guy didn't mess anything up too bad for the possible future Dish installer?
Maybe I should just keep Time Warner and save the $35 per month, as opposed to the $22 per month savings and contract with Dish? I was spoiled with the better HD picture Directv has. However, I'm not sure I can live with the exterior installation ugliness. Does anyone know if I could have a more experienced installer "clean this up" for no charge? I dislike complaining, and I was wrong for not paying more attention, but here we are.
