I'm not sure exactly when they did it. I know they made the announcement back in January. But, I had checked a number of times since then, without any improvement to the standard HBO OnDemand lineup. However, when I checked again last night, I saw what appeared to be a full selection of all HBO series, including ones no longer being shown, with all episodes going back to the first season.

I'm not sure why they chose to do it this way, as opposed to simply adding an HBO GO app, which would probably have been easier for them to implement, and somewhat easier for the user to navigate. But, I'm very glad they are doing it this way, as these recordings include closed captioning, which HBO GO does not.

There is also a huge selection of movies, fwiw.

Way to go, Dish! But, next time you may want to tell your customers you have done this. (As opposed to announcing you will be doing it, seven months beforehand, and saying nothing since then.)

OTOH, this expanded HBO OnDemand is not unique to Dish. DirecTV implemented this a week or so ago, as well.

Sweet, no more need to change input over to the Roku for HBO Go access.

Found out it was there a few weeks ago when I answered Dish didn't have it yet and someone pointed out it was there. Doh!

I tell ya,never was a huge HBO fan, always felt it was overpriced. Now with hbo ondemand and hbogo it's almost worth $16 mo.I'm definitely digging it at $8 mo.Now if they would get DD on hbogo...

This is awesome! Is there any easier way to search for them though, other than typing in the name of the series? Too bad the On Demand" section doesn't have a dedicated HBO section, when you are subscribing to it.

Found it...on the Hopper, you can go to OnDemand, change "All Movies" to "all TV Channels", then scroll to HBO.

Pretty neat, eh?

The only thing stopping me from using HBO OD vs HBO Go now is the horrific menu system on Dish receivers. Trying to find anything is just crazy stupid compared to HBO GO

For what it's worth, menu is much better on Hopper system
